When we arrived at the hospital they took me back immediately. I could barely walk from the pain. The nurse was AMAZING! She gave me some kind of medicine in an IV and I finally could breath again. They took a CT scan. As we were waiting on the Doctor and the results, the pain comes back again. The very kind and sweet nurse came again, this time the shot was so strong I couldn't feel my toes, praise God! Not that I couldn't feel my toes but that there was no pain. We found out that I was the 4th person within hours that has came in with kidney stones. I had no idea that kidney stones were that common and I SURE didn't know they were that painful. The stones was 10x7 mm large and it had completely blocked my left kidney. The next day I was sent to pretesting and the following morning at 6 am I was being prepped for surgery. Since the surgery I have 3 stones that still need to pass, hopefully without too much pain.
With this little interruption I was unable to attend some of my scheduled fundraiser events. One thing I was able to do was be there for the NBC youth group service day at the food bank. I will share that story soon and I have some great pictures to share. It was an amazing day!
